Can I play Dragon Age Origins with the new Awakening classes?

If I get both Dragon Age Origins and Awakening, can I use the new classes to play through the main story in DA:O or are they specifically only for the Awakening story?Can I play Dragon Age Origins with the new Awakening classes?
I'm going to assume that you're talking about specializations, since there are no new "classes" in Awakenings (only mage, warrior, rogue). No, the new specs and spells/talents are only available in Awakenings; they do not transfer to Origins.Can I play Dragon Age Origins with the new Awakening classes?
