Can an Nvidia GE force 9600 GT run Dragon age at full potential?

The rest of my rig is good, but im using an outdated 8400 gs right now, i want to buy a 9600 gt, but i'd like to know if it will be able to play dragon age and COD 4, on high settings. Also would the 9500 GT do just as well? Can an Nvidia GE force 9600 GT run Dragon age at full potential?

The 8800GTS 512MB is the G92 version and not the crappy 1st gen 8800GTS version. It is what is recommended by bioware for med detail. It is slightly faster than the 9600GT so perhaps there is a better option for you.

A good price guide

Get a 9600GT as a minimum for $85 or a 9800GT for $95, but if you can afford it and have a 480-500W PSU or greater, get the Radeon 4870 512MB for $125 - it is the best bang for buck on mid level cards. Get the 4870 1GB for $145 if you have a monitor larger than 22".

The 4870 1GB performs better than the 260 GTX whoch costs about $20 more and almost on par with the GTX 275 which is about $75 more. At high resolution, the 4870 1GB shines and performs marginally better than the GXT 275 which is much more expensive.

The 4870 will also perform about twice as fast as the 9600GT/9800GT.

9500 GT has 128-bit GDDR2 RAM and is crap, so it can't play DA well

Get something with at least DDR3 RAM because DA has a high level of shader detail and a DDR2 card won't cut it.

COD4 will play decent on the 9500GT but it is 2 years old now.
